What kind of lighting do you use?
We allow you to choose whether you want your headshots to have a “traditional” look or a “natural” look. A traditional look is generally what people think of when they think of headshots and uses between 1-3 professional lights. A natural look simply uses natural lighting (i.e. sunlight), but might be supplemented with a single fill light.
Why do you offer a studio package if you don't have a studio?
We primarily offer "on location" headshots. However, we understand that it isn't always easy to find a spacious area for our lighting setups. In those situations, we would rent studio space. Most photo sessions will be considered "on location" shoots, regardless of whether or not we use studio lighting.
How much space is needed for the lighting equipment?
A 12'x12' space should be sufficient. This can be an office, a living room, or even a garage.
Can you photoshop me to look skinnier?
No. While we do edit all of our photos to remove temporary blemishes (e.g. pimples, wrinkles in clothing, etc), we don't make extreme alterations to a person's appearance. Our general rule of thumb is if it can't be fixed naturally in a week, then we will not remove it. We can, however, reduce the appearance of some permanent features (e.g. moles) so they aren't the first thing a person notices when they see a photo.
